CUBA PRIVATE TRAVEL - Terms & Conditions

When you make a booking with Cuba Private Travel you are confirming that you understand and have accepted [on behalf of yourself and all members of your party] the terms and conditions laid out on these pages. Once you have made the booking, the following terms and conditions come into force.

Final payment
Final payment is due 8 weeks before you arrival date in country. We will contact you to finalise your itinerary in the weeks leading up to this so that this final payment can be made in time to arrive in our accounts to meet this deadline. If payment is not received in time Cuba Private Travel may have to modify or cancel your itinerary and apply the relevant penalties.

We take Payment via Transfer ( minimal charge depending on currency but not more than 80 USD per transfer) Credit and Debit Cards – ( incur a 4 per cent charge ). Check – Free

Insurance
We recommend to all passengers that they take out travel insurance when they make their booking, for Cuba Private Travel does not take responsibility for problems relating to health or in unforeseeable circumstances which could incur injury to travellers or loss of baggage.

Changes requested by the Client
Any change requested by clients is subject to a cancellation penalty. All changes are subject to the tariffs/price list of the new products booked based on the original date of the booking. If the booking is modified more than once, Cuba Private Travel is then reserved the right to increase the administration fare.

Price List
All costs are quoted in Pounds sterling (GBP) if not stated otherwise. Cuba Private Travel reserves the right to change the prices published without prior warning or apply taxes established by the government, as well as costs relating to transport or extra costs due to fluctuations of fuel prices or exchange rates for travellers. In the case that Cuba Private Travel reduces its prices; the revised rates will only be valid for new bookings. The rates reduced previously could increase without prior warning and are only valid with new bookings.

Documents
The traveller is responsible for obtaining, on his own behalf, all the required documentation by the relevant authorities. The customs, air lines and immigration officials could deny entry or exit of their countries under any circumstance. Cuba Private Travel is not responsible and will not reimburse any money lost. The traveller is also responsible for obtaining the relevant travel information, including itineraries, airlines and hotels.

Hotel Service
The quality of the hotels has been established in agreement with the normal standards for the destination and could vary with respect to the standard applicable in other countries. The service could be interrupted at any time for renovation, maintenance or construction work. Cuba Private Travel is an intermediary and is not responsible for the quality of hotels or for interruptions to the service.

Brochure description and representation
The accuracy of the information and photos included in our brochure has been checked. However, due to their being merely descriptive, Cuba Private Travel is not responsible for any unforeseen change or loss of enjoyment. All the photos in the hotels are published as illustrations of the property only. The majority of the hotels offer a variety of room types as regards décor, size and location.

Force Majeure
Cuba Private Travel is not responsible for complaints, loss, prices, expenditure, delays or loss of enjoyment or acts of nature that may affect the traveller, travel companions or other members of the group, which result in events beyond the control of Cuba Private Travel or a supplier, including natural disasters, strikes, or any workforce dispute or interruption, war, blockades, insurrection, demonstrations, earthquakes, climatic conditions or acts or restrictions imposed by the governmental authorities.

Car Rental
General Car Rental Terms and Conditions are stated on our website. Please note that those may vary depending on the specific company. Be aware that additional compulsory charges will be required at the collection point, such as mandatory insurance, additional driver, fuel and such. Cuba Private Travel strongly recommends that you carefully read the general rental terms. For further information on car rental terms and conditions please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Tours and activities that are not attended
Cuba Private Travel is not responsible for any unused portion of your trip or tour services and will not reimburse any money. The non-fulfilment of components of the trip such as the pre-agreed itinerary could provoke losing that component for which no money will be reimbursed. We are not liable for any optional activity or trip sold locally, since Cuba Private Travel does not operate those services.

Special Requests
Cuba Private Travel shall not be made responsible for non-granted requests such as sea view, special meals and bed linen and interconnecting rooms. The hotel could demand Extra charges. Cuba Private Travel will not confirm any request before departure. Your room type preferences have been submitted with your reservation, and are subject to hotel availability.

Arrival and Check Out of the hotel
All hotels have arrival and check-out times. It is possible that your room may not be available when you arrive at the facility. The hotel could ask you to clear out of the room before your planned departure time.

Disabled Travellers
Disabled travellers must present a medical certificate that authorizes their ability to travel. Cuba Private Travel is not responsible for providing any special service for persons with physical or mental disabilities. Many hotels are not equipped to attend disabled travellers; hence the trip to these properties will be at the risk of the traveller.

Responsibilities of the client
The client must accept and abide by the rules and laws of the country that he/she is visiting. If the traveller behaves in a way considered threatening to the service provider and/or to other travellers, the service provider has the right to withdraw the service and expel him/her from the hotel. In this case, the traveller is responsible for all costs and will not receive reimbursement for the portions of the trip not yet carried out.

Responsibilities of the Tour operator
Cuba Private Travel makes relevant arrangements with independent companies and is not responsible for any act or omission committed by these organizations. Cuba Private Travel will not take responsibility for any loss, injury or lesion, whether physical or mental, or to the property, resulting from any delay, replacement or deficiency in the quality of equipment or services, or any action, omission, negligence or commission of any party that supplies services or lodging. We reserve the right to reject any booking and reject any traveller who is a member of these trips at any time. No representative or company is authorized to change or cancel the contract once the booking has been made.
